Gorgeous views of Mount Vesuvius and Naples, Sorrento is also easily accessible for day trips to Pompeii in around 40 minutes. You can also take a trip over to the beautifully picturesque island of Capri, a fashionista's paradise, it is a mecca for designer shops and fine restaurants.

The history on the Amalfi Coast wasn't always sunshine and holidays, an old fishing village, it experienced many an intrusion from foreign invasions, earthquakes and landslides. However it was this very declination of activity that enticed visitors in the early 1900's to the coast for quiet seclusion. Now, well established as ones of Italy's top tourist destinations!
