Luxury Villa Resorts in Balearics
The Balearic Islands are an archipelago of Spain and consist of three larger islands, Mallorca, Menorca and Ibiza, together with three smaller islands, Formentera, Cabrera and the uninhabited national park Dragonera. Situated off the coast of Spain between France and the coast of northern Africa, the islands form one of Spain's self sufficient communities. The official languages in the Balearics are Catalan and Spanish although every Island has its own dialect with English widely spoken throughout.
The Balearic's climate is a big pull for holiday makers with an average temperature of 29 degrees and 11 hours of sunshine. Despite its popularity and clubbing reputation of Ibiza, the Islands have still managed to retain their charm with Gothic Cathedrals, Stone age relics, fishing villages, isolated coves and beautiful walks. Mallorca is the largest of the islands and combines a little of everything; breathtaking mountain scenery coupled with stunning beaches and crystal blue waters. Each Island has a charm and personality of its own and offers a wealth of activities as well as the opportunity to immerse yourself in the glorious coastline.
