The villa, originally designed by one of Siena's most renowned architects of the 16th century has grown larger and more beautiful over the centuries. It's most recent renovation has turned it into a fabulous contemporary Tuscan estate, using some of Italy's best craftsmanship to ensure that nothing has spoilt the property's original features.
The grounds, enticing and lovely by day and beautifully lit with candles, fire pits and other outdoor lighting at night are extraordinary and include a magnificent travertine infinity pool, with views over the estate's private lake. There's a superb expansive terrace bedecked with high quality parasols and sun loungers. The pool area also has a welcoming rain shower for cooling down on hot summer days. For those seeking shade there's a seating area under a pergola where guests can be served from the excellent external kitchen with its Pizza oven, gas-fired BBQ, hob, dishwasher and fridge with ice maker.
Throughout the gardens and estate there are many beautiful features - the Italianate gardens at the front of the house planted with roses, buxus and rosemary; the numerous lovely spots that have been created simply to enjoy the incredible views and the surrounding traditional Cypresses and Holm Oaks.
Inside, there are wonderful areas for entertaining, as well as private terraces and smaller rooms to find peace and quiet. The living room's doors open out onto a private terrace with westerly views. Everything is furnished with a stylish elegance and delivered with the highest quality. All the bedrooms have Vi-Spring beds and the finest Busatti linens and towels. All the bathrooms are individually designed using Travertine and come stocked with organic Tuscan toiletries. All the rooms have air conditioning and under floor heating and ensuite bathrooms with Travertine showers, some with free standing baths.
Aside from the bedrooms, the whole property is wired for sound and vision. Across the courtyard you will find yourself in the building known as the "A-Wing". Here there are soaring ceilings and magnificent iron doors. There's a media room with large fireplace and a sitting room with Smart TV and Sonos system. There is also a bar area and a full size snooker table so the whole zone can be used for parties and entertaining.
The gardens around San Luigi are beautifully designed, with olive trees, palm trees, and other exotic species as well as beautiful manicured lawns and wonderful flowers. There are a host of outdoor features that are designed to lend themselves superlatively to holidaying in this part of the world. There is a spectacular chlorine-free Travertine infinity swimming pool, tennis and bocce courts. Beautifully set up around the pool are high quality loungers and parasols. All overlooks glorious sunsets.
