Villa Syrah is a charming five bedroom homestead nestled amongst the tranquil vineyards of Provence. Sleeping up to 10 guests, with a private outdoor swimming pool and shared access to the 5* La Bastide de Marie's facilities, Villa Syrah is the ultimate destination for a peaceful luxury villa holiday in Provence.

Villa Syrah's interiors have been decorated in an authentic Provençal style, with stone walls dressed in paintings and artwork. Comfortable furnishings create two relaxed lounge areas either side of the grand central fireplace, sitting under high ceilings on the property's ground floor. One lounge presents the ideal nook for turning the pages of your holiday read and the other a TV lounge with a sink in sofa to rest during the evenings of your stay. Through an archway, guests are welcomed into a dining room, creating an enchanting setting to share delicious meals and stories. In the kitchen, the rustic charm continues, pleasing on the eye and perfect for meal preparations. The sink and worktop area are in a separate space under an arched ceiling, whilst the oven lies beside a breakfast table in the front room.

Villa Syrah's outdoor patio is a scene of serenity, featuring cobbled floors, luscious vegetation and walled privacy. A sheltered alfresco dining area, sits under shade, ideal for long afternoon lunches out of the sun's beating heat. A covered outdoor lounge, provides shade and a cooler spot for guests to relax in after lunches, playing cards and enjoying each other's company. Another place for guests to shelter from the sun is the veranda, opening into the garden it shows off the beauty of the verdant local scenery.

In Villa Syrah's quaint courtyard, guests will also find a delightful heated outdoor swimming pool, providing luxury and wellness for your holiday in the South of France. Perfect for relaxation, the pool offers an idyllic spot for a casual swim and refreshing dip in complete privacy. Sun loungers and parasols sit adjacent to this body of water, completing the outdoor space of the property.

The five double bedrooms of Villa Syrah ooze Provençal design with elevated comfort of the luxurious and intricate furnishings. All bedrooms are found on the property's first floor, each with a distinctive, individual character to select based on preferences. Unique design touches and comfortable furnishings add to the style found in these rooms, complete with a mixture of open and en-suite bathroom amenities.

As the villa belongs to the Domaine de Marie Estate, guests have access to the neighbouring La Bastide de Marie hotel, allowing them to make use of the incredible Pure Altitude Spa with two outdoor pools and massage treatment space. On site, there is also La Table de Bastide restaurant, which guests are welcome to visit during their stay, as well as the Domaine's own vineyard and wine cellar.

For extra convenience, Villa Syrah also features air-conditioning throughout the villa. For self-driving guests, private parking is also provided.

Prices are based on the exclusive use of the villa for up to 10 guests. The villa is offered with daily complimentary breakfast and afternoon tea, daily housekeeping service, complimentary wine tour of the Domaine de Marie and full use of the hotel facilities and Pure Altitude spa.

Location

Villa Syrah sits amongst the vineyards of the Domaine de Marie estate in the serene Luberon region of Provence.

The villa is just 2.5 km away from Ménerbes, a picturesque traditional Provençal village offering a small handful of restaurants, local bakery, regular markets and small grocery store. Nearby, just 6 minutes drive away, the historic Saint-Hillare Abbey is a popular place to visit, whilst in the wider Luberon valley you can also visit the beautiful villages of Roussillon and Gordes around 20 minutes away. Discover the Luberon National park, walking or by bike and explore neighbouring vineyards, Provençal bories, mills and ochre quarries as well as quaint countryside.

Avignon and Aix-En Provence, both larger towns, sit less than 50 km away. Your nearest airport is in Avignon around 30-minutes by road. Alternatively, Marseille-Provence airport is around a 1 hour drive.

La Table de Bastide

Working as closely as possible with seasonal and local produce, the chef creates simple recipes and creative combinations, giving his menu a light and fragrant accent. Enjoy breakfasts, lunch, apéritifs and afternoon tea or dinner in this beautiful and authentic restaurant or on the large sunny terrace. Mealtimes served 12.30-1.30 or 7.30-9.30pm.

Pure Altitude Spa

Specifically designed with signature treatments of Provence and inspired by the richness of the region. Le Potager de La Bastide

A large garden farm supplies the hotel and spa with fresh home-grown produce infused into their menus and treatments. The garden includes lavender, olive trees, fruit trees and even 21 beehives for the production of the freshest and locally infused honey.
