Accommodation is comfortable and well presented, with two master bedrooms and flexible bedroom options. A country kitchen opens directly onto a dining terrace, perfectly positioned to capture the view in the clear morning light. The house is equipped with WiFi and board games, a separate study and TV room.
Several stone steps lead from the house to the pool on a lower level. The gardens are well maintained and neatly bordered grounds surround the pool and terraces. The best views can be seen from the dining terrace where you can see across the Luberon National Park.

From the centre of the village, the cobbled streets of Bonnieux zigzag languidly uphill. The road, dappled on a summer evening by centennial plane trees, loops around a 12th century monolithic church, before climbing somewhat anachronistically past an artisanal boulangerie and an internet café. A farmer's work-horse Renault van splutters past, scattering the evening pedestrians, a mixture of tourists and locals contemplating each other in mutual fascination.
Above the village, outside the medieval walls, the road divides in two. One way leads over the mountain to the catenated villages of Cadenet, Lourmarin and Ansouis, which line the southern slopes en route to Aix-en-Provence. Taking the other direction, the road circles once more above Bonnieux and in doing so unlocks panoramic vistas back onto the village, as well as neighbouring hilltop Lacoste, and the breadth of the verdant Luberon valley into the distance.
Here lies the Bastide de la Paix, with its dining terraces and pool oriented to fully appreciate the outlook. From the upper terraces stone steps lead down to a lower garden where an 8m heated swimming pool has an adjacent pool house, with fridge and cool drinks and furnished terraces overlook the boules court.
