Country Description

England is part of the United Kingdom and shares land borders with Scotland to the north and Wales to the west; the country also includes over 100 smaller islands such as the Isles of Scilly and the Isle of Wight.

There is always something to see and do throughout the year, the Country varies considerably from bustling London to historical towns, rural countryside and many beaches and coves on offer. Enjoy nights out in busy arts’ quarters, Victorian theatres and vibrant bars; afternoon strolls in vineyards and wandering through national parks, fun adventures in caves or gorges and explore the many castles around the Country.

Traditional English cuisine is Sunday roast dinners with roasted chicken, beef or pork with boiled vegetables, roasted potatoes and Yorkshire pudding and gravy. Climate

England has a mild climate with temperatures not reaching much lower than 0 °C (32 °F) in winter and not much higher than 32 °C (90 °F) in summer throughout the Country. The weather can be damp quite frequently and is changeable – raincoats and cardigans are often needed even in summer as it can be colder in the morning and hot in the afternoon. The coldest months are January and February; with it being colder on the English coast, while July is normally the warmest month. Months with mild to warm weather are May, June, September and October. Rainfall is spread fairly evenly throughout the year.
